Strong November Real Estate Sales in Clark County Finish Out an Exceptional Autumn

After apparently cooling off for a bit in 2018, the Clark County and Vancouver real estate markets look prepared to finish out 2019 on a serious hot streak. Along with this year’s unusually nice fall weather, nearly all home real estate sale metrics are up across the board compared to last November, according to a recent report by The Columbian. More Sales, Higher Prices, Fewer Listings

Simply put, this November’s real estate numbers were strong and all indications suggest that the trend is going to continue through December and into the new year. Compared to November 2018, which had 564 pending sales at a median price of $344,900, this November saw large gains on both fronts: 698 pending sales and a median price of $384,500. These numbers represented a slight decrease in the number of sales from October―a normal occurence for this time of year―but a slight increase in the median home price.

The number of new listings decreased slightly compared to both this October and November 2018, however: 641 compared to 808 and 728, respectively. Still, the reduced inventory is likely to drive prices up even further as we move toward 2020.
